mid century baby nurseries

What comes to you mind when you hear style of mid-1950s?

 Well....
Have a look what we like for our little ones nurseries and where the style influence came from!

Mid century modern baby nurseries
 - clean lines, gentle organic curves and a love of mixing textures.

The style derived from the architectural, interior, product and graphic design of the mid-20th century developments in modern design, architecture and urban development from roughly 1933 to 1965.

We like the classic, understated look, clean lines and minimal with no fuss

The use of wood was of traditional material and the use of color was from neutral to bold

The juxtaposition of different and sometimes contrasting materials makes the look so special

Minimal ornamentation and organic, geometric forms is enough to get the mid century style

Beautiful nursery which shows the clean style, the functionality and the neutral materials

Lovely nursery in an elegant & organic shape

Have you recognized the use of wood was very common but also metal, glass & vinyl

To get the perfect mid century modern nursery use vintage furniture. But if that is tricky there are some new brands which make incredible nice "old style" furniture too.

Avoid too many patterns and stay within the typical color range and

enjoy creating your own mid century nursery for your little sweethearts!

Thank you for pinterest where we found most of our pictures

Industrial looking nurseries

Have you ever thought about creating your baby's nursery in an industrial look?
We haven't either - but that changed when we saw these beautiful ones!

With the right furniture and colour combination you create the industrial look.
Check out the following nurseries and get some ideas!

...vintage metal peddle cars in weathered pastel hues - together with dark grey furniture...

.... a dark feature wall together with a dark shiny floor
(could be wood - could be vinyl or polished painted concrete?)....

....there are plenty of metal beds for older children around on the high street
but who would dare a vintage baby hospital bed?
We like the idea...

...especially with contemporary bedding which softens the look...

....metal storage boxes, metal bins as washing baskets, metal wire shelves or metal lockers emphasize the look....

It's in the little detail, which helps to make a room come to life!

We love the look - don't you?

Fun children beds

Everybody has their own way to fall asleep.
Some children with the help of their parents have really special ideas to get into their dreamland.

For those who want to sail into their dreams

...be the captain of your own 'sleep ship'....

...or dream together with other sailors of the sea ...

For those who prefer to fall asleep in their own little house...

... we love the mix of the brick wall with the white furniture...

...which little girl won't have magical dreams in this lovely bird house?

... and of course we have something for a special princess....

... inside this amazing bed you don't only feel like a princess... you feel like a queen!

... only the horses and the coachman are missing...

For little pilots who fly into their dreams....

...or for those who can't get there fast enough...

No matter which bed you decide and prefer ... the most important thing is to have a lovely dream and a good night sleep!

We wish all of you a good night and beautiful dreams!
